About the set

Final Fantasy is Magic: The Gathering's Universes Beyond set based on Square Enix's role-playing series, released on 13 June 2025. It was the first Universes Beyond set to be legal in Standard. The main set has 309 cards, and its 16 basic lands each represent one of the series' mainline games. The job select mechanic on Equipment cards is inspired by the series' job system.

Well-known cards include Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, Cloud, Planet's Champion, Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin, Terra, Magical Adept // Esper Terra, Vivi Ornitier and Y'shtola Rhul. Summons such as Summon: Bahamut and Summon: Knights of Round feature too, and Traveling Chocobo comes in both serialised and colourful variants.

Final Fantasy: Through the Ages is a bonus sheet of 64 classic Magic cards with Final Fantasy artwork, including Rhystic Study, Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer and Atraxa, Grand Unifier. One in every three Play Boosters contains one, and every Collector Booster has one – Collector Boosters are also where the surge foil cards are found. There are four Commander decks – Revival Trance, Limit Break, Counter Blitz and Scions & Spellcraft – led by characters including Terra, Cloud, Tidus and Y'shtola, also sold as Collector's Editions.

Final Fantasy is available as Play Booster packs and boxes, Collector Booster packs and boxes, a Bundle, a Gift Bundle, a Chocobo Bundle, a Starter Kit, Scene Boxes and Commander decks.
